Warhammer 40,000 is the most popular wargame in the world. The universe where the war never ends has appeared in the late 80s. Recently, the ninth edition of the board game has been released, and CS:GO received a capsule with stickers that origin from this universe.
Warhammer 40,000 capsule contains seventeen stickers in total. Some of them, as usual, are available in several variations. Here we have ordinary and holo stickers. Let’s figure out what do the pictures on the stickers mean.
Emperor
Emperor is the most famous and iconic character in Warhammer 40,000. A long time ago, he united mankind and directed it to the stars. Now he is chained to the Golden Throne being neither alive nor dead. Why did that happen? It’s a well-known fact, but we’d rather not give you spoilers about this drama.
The sticker depicts the Emperor on the throne painted in a slightly simplified manner. This is the most expensive sticker in the set.
Chaos Marine
The enemies of mankind in WH are not only human beings. The main enemy is Chaos, which lives in a parallel dimension called Warp. It reflects the emotions of living beings, which slightly resembles Tarkovsky’s Solaris. Demons and creatures “corrupted by Chaos” come out of the Warp.
The sticker shows the helmet of the Chaos Space marine. These soldiers are distinguished by special protective armor. Their helmets are adorned with the eight-pointed Chaos star located on the forehead. The image looks very authentic, and we really like this sticker.
Bloodthirster
This is the last foil skin in the capsule. It shows another representative of the Chaos world, who is called Bloodthirster – a demon of the Blood God Khorne. Above his head, you can see the symbol of Khorne. Bloodthirster is a giant monster who’s favorite entertainment is to kill over and over again.
Heresy
Since the Warp reacts to all kinds of emotions of living beings, the future mankind invented a special order called Ordo Hereticus. The name of this organization is written on the sticker. In short, this is the Inquisition of the future, which imposes the “right” ideas with fire and sword.
In the holographic version of the sticker, everything is on fire. Burning heretics and mutants is a popular activity in Warhammer 40,000. In the regular version, the sticker looks more like a stamp. Simple yet impressive.
Lord of Skulls
These are stickers with WH armored vehicles. The holographic version depicts the Сhaos tank, and the regular one shows the loyal Space marine tank. The stickers are nice and have quality images, but in general, there’s nothing much to say about them.
Space Marine
The main troops of mankind are the Imperial Guard, and its members are ordinary people. There are also Space marines, who are genetically modified transhumans. Thanks to improvements, they are much taller and have wider shoulders, and their bodies contain a spare set of inner organs, a third lung for instance.
The sticker shows the Primaris of the Ultramarines Order. It is worth mentioning several details of the holo version. The red helmet in this order is the insignia worn by sergeants. We like such attention to details.

Tyranids Hive Tyrant и Tyranids Ravener
These stickers show tyranids – cosmic insects with a collective mind. They devour everything and destroy entire planets. As with the Space Marine stickers, the “improved” version of the unit is depicted on the holo sticker.
Adepta Sororitas, Necron, Ork Waaagh! и Aeldari Avatar
These are four stickers of factions, although the first one can be assigned to a separate faction only conditionally. The Adepta Sororitas, also known as the Sisters of Battle, is an all-female counterpart of Space Marines. The female warriors also wear cool armor but they are more focused on faith than on genetic modifications.
Necron depicts a representative of a mysterious race of robotic skeletal warriors, who are forged from living metal, which is able to self-repair. Almost all the time they sleep in their pyramids, but when they wake up, they start to fiercely and hatefully destroy everything around them.
Ork Waaagh! Orks in Warhammer 40,000 are quite weird creatures. Firstly, they are mushrooms. Secondly, they use teeth as currency. Thirdly, their main pastime is conducting massive military campaigns. And they are called Waaagh!
And finally, Avatar is a physical incarnation of Aeldari, who is the god of war in a formerly powerful empire that collapsed being wallowed in hedonism and violence.

This is the only sticker in the capsule that is associated with CS:GO. It depicts a bolter – the main weapon of the Space Marines. Bolter is a huge assault weapon that fires rockets and is one of the symbols of the board game.
