Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has hundreds of skins. Most of them work in a simple and pre-determined way: the lower the float (that is, the lower the wear rate number), the better the skin looks. Glock-18 Off World
With a low float value, Glock-18 Off World looks like an upgraded version of Glock-18 Twilight Galaxy. It has more colours and details, and its lower part is shaded, making this skin look frightening. But the true beauty of Off-World is revealed with a high float value. You can see a crowned skull above the trigger while the paint barely fades. Epic and pretty cheap, around $0.10 for MW and less than $1 for MW + StatTrak!
P250 Verdigris
P250 Verdigris is a copper-coloured skin which, as a Factory New skin, is covered with a couple of green spots and stripes. However, as the wear level increases, the entire gun gets greener! This is how copper wears out in real life. Apparently, Verdigris are copper salts that acquire green shades and resemble rust on copper objects. Only $0.50 for FN, and an all-green BS costs less than $0.15! Neat deal.
M4A1-S Night Terror
Another skin that changes colour with wear is M4A1-S Night Terror. In Battle-Scarred condition, this weapon finish changes into a vibrant purple while still maintaining good visibility of the image. So you can choose your favourite shade of purple when inspecting M4A1-S Night Terror with different floats. StatTrak FT costs $2.80, but a simple BS with the most purple shade will be around $3.50.

Here comes the sad part: people know about it, so a Battle-Scarred skin costs a whopping $7!
Tec-9 Hades
Hades is not only the Greek god of the dead but also the realm of the dead itself. However, it’s difficult to trace the connection between the image and the name with a Factory New skin. Tec-9 Hades is simply covered with a pattern of Spartan helmets, but as the float increases, everything falls into place. The skulls are travelling along Styx, the river of the dead… Brutal! And $10 for a piece.
P2000 Imperial Dragon
P2000 Imperial Dragon depicts a tribal dragon in golden lines on a red background. This weapon finish looks stylish with any float, but there’s a catch. With a high float value, Imperial Dragon acquires a slight pink-purple shade, making it even cooler and accentuating the dragon’s image. And it’s pretty cheap, only around three bucks for a skin.
AWP Safari Mesh
AWP Safari Mesh is a very cheap and common skin. Just a simple camouflaged AWP can’t stand out as much as Chromatic Aberration or Containment Breach. However, this skin turns this feature into an advantage. With a high float value, around 0.8, the paint almost wholly peels off, leaving only the black metal. It looks absolutely stunning and combines perfectly with stickers. Indeed, with the lowest price possible: no more than $0.50 for a BS skin.
AWP The Prince
Another sniper rifle that gets only better with a high float is AWP The Prince. It is a rare skin, but it has a fascinating feature: an AWP skin with a simple black scope. This effect is achieved with floats close to maximum. Note that the rest of the skin only fades slightly but remains equally beautiful. And you won’t want to know how much it costs, believe us.
Bloodhound Gloves Charred
Bloodhound Gloves Charred are leather-black with a few red elements and metallic details. It looks good and simple. Maybe even too simple. Here, the float can help the gloves to get quite a catchy look. With a high float value, you can see how impressive these worn-out gloves could be. Moreover, this brown natural leather shade pairs well with any Rust knives into excellent combos. And only for ~140 dollars, which is not that much for a pair of gloves.
Classic Knife Night Stripe
Let’s conclude our top with a knife that looks better in a worn-out condition: Classic Knife Night Stripe. Looking at a low-float skin, you will see the blade entirely covered in blue-grey paint. However, as the wear level increases, the paint gradually fades, revealing a classy beige image. This significantly transforms the knife, especially in Field-Tested conditions. This knife skin will cost you around 240 dollars.
