transfers in CS:GO 2023

The competitive scene is slowly regaining its fit after the Christmas holidays, and players are starting to participate in various tournaments again. Some teams used this break to update their rosters. CS.MONEY Blog names all the hottest transfers of the beginning of 2023.

Kair0N- to Outsiders

Let’s start with the change in the roster of the IEM Rio Major champions. After failing at the BLAST Premier World Finals, “the honey badgers” decided to replace n0rb3r7 with Kair0N-. The young Russian is a graduate of the Team Spirit Academy. Alexander even played few maps with the main squad but could not gain a foothold and decided to continue his career path in INDE IRAE. For Kair0N, the current transfer is a huge chance. Let’s see if he lives up to the expectations.

buster to Cloud9

The five players signed to the Cloud9 spent two and a half years together and went from the bottom to the number one spot in the world rankings. But all good things end at some point, so the team decided to continue playing without interz—and replaced him with buster.

Timur is well known to the players from his performances with Jame, but after the major in Antwerp, he spent a significant amount of time on the bench. We are looking forward to the updated Cloud9 squad in action.

Headtr1ck to Ninjas in Pyjamas

Of all the top-20 teams, Ninjas in Pyjamas had perhaps the most fruitful off-season in terms of transfers. The Swedish club got a young and super talented Headtr1ck. A graduate of the Natus Vincere Academy will get his long-awaited chance among the best of the best. Will Daniil be able to reach his potential with NiP? Need more tests.

k0nfig to Ninjas in Pyjamas

Signing Headtr1ck was not the only roster move for the Swedish organisation. In addition to the Ukrainian sniper, the club signed k0nfig. The Danish player needs no introduction, as he has won more than half a million dollars in prize money during his career and a lot of silverware, but the club is taking a huge risk. K0nfig, despite his high level of play, had some problems outside the server. Add to this equation a young but inexperienced Headtr1ck, and we get a squad with a high ceiling but also a low floor. Only time will answer the question of whether the management bet was successful.

bodyy to Team Falcons

Here’s an interesting new French lineup. Team Falcons signed bodyy this offseason. After leaving G2 Esports, Alexandre played in Team LDLC, Double Poney and HEET, but now he might have become the final necessary puzzle piece for the French version of The Expendables. And all this before the BLAST Paris Major. Juicy stuff, but also a lot of responsibility.

sdy to Monte

Sdy spent most of 2022 at Natus Vincere, but he celebrated the new 2023 year as a free agent. Victor’s transition to Monte became a definite step (if not even two) back. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how the Ukrainian will prove himself in the new team.
