3 Rare Karambit Patterns You Never Heard Of

10552

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has quite a number of rare patterns. And some of them are very famous. For example, even people outside the Counter-Strike community have heard of the Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem. Small wonder: we’re talking a drawn knife worth a million dollars! Today, however, the CS.MONEY Blog is going to elaborate not on the old-fashioned patterns, but rather on three rare Karambit patterns that aren’t in the spotlight. Let’s roll!

Karambit Case Hardened Blaze

The texture of the Case Hardened skins is pretty colorful and therefore generates a whole bunch of patterns. There are knives that are entirely blue, almost-entirely-gold AKs, and Five-SeveNs with red spots. The headline here is that the variety is boundless. The most expensive are the Case Hardened finishes with the maximum amount of blue.

And yet, there are exceptions to this rule. One of the most striking ones is the Karambit Case Hardened Blaze with pattern number 819. This specimen has a piece of texture with a bright spot on it that looks like a Karambit made of lava! The blade is colored in shades of orange and resembles the flames on the legendary Desert Eagle Blaze.

The price tag of this item is above average for a Karambit Case Hardened, but it’s a far cry from the blue blades. Nevertheless, it’s still an extremely rare knife. According to csgofloat.com, there are currently only nine Karambit Case Hardened Blazes in the game, none of them Factory New! Definitely a rare pattern.

Karambit Gamma Doppler Phase 3 Cyan

Among Karambit Gamma Doppler knives, the most sought-after is by far the Emerald. The fully green blade instantly catches the eye and defines ‘mind-blowing.’ And don’t forget about the price, either. The Karambit Gamma Doppler Emerald is about five times more expensive than ordinary knives with this coloring. But apart from the Emerald, the Karambit Gamma Doppler has other rare patterns.

For instance, the Karambit Gamma Doppler Phase 3 Cyan. Regular Karambits with this skin are covered with a mixture of green and dark blue. But the Cyan is an outlier in this regard. The drawing on the back side is pretty standard: just a lot of blue. The front side, on the other hand, is almost entirely painted navy blue.

The coolest Cyan is the Karambit Gamma Doppler Phase 3 with pattern number 666. Other Cyan knives also include Karambits with the following pattern numbers: 37, 179, 916, 953, 828, 2, 592, 390, and a couple more. The list is ratherlong, making a blue Karambit Gamma Doppler Phase 3 not as difficult to find as the aforementioned Blaze.

Karambit Ocean Blue Steel

The Karambit Blue Steel dropped back in 2013, along with the very first batch of skins. At first glance, a finish like this can’t have any rare patterns whatsoever. Whichever knife you inspect, only a couple of small details change. One has slightly more dots, the other has a slightly different shade of blade. Nonetheless, the community quickly managed to find a couple of Karambit Blue Steel with unconventional looks.

At that time, the knives with the least amount of ‘scuffs’ on the blade had the most value. And it makes sense, too: it’s truly a shame when even the blade doesn’t look flawless in the FN condition. Soon enough, the community discovered even more awesome knives among the Karambit Blue Steel with ‘clean’ blades. They differed not only by the amount of scuffs, but also by the shade.

And that’s how the Karambit Blue Steel received its rare patterns. Like pattern 803. The blade is a light blue with a minimum of dots and other abrasions. It gained its own fan base and even its own name — Ocean Blue. There are no two ways about it: the knife looks mesmerizing, especially compared to the usual Karambit Blue Steel.

Rare Karambit Skins Prices

With the prices, it’s tricky. Here’s the problem: there simply aren’t enough knives. As a result, only very approximate estimates are possible as to how much more expensive, say, the Blaze is than the regular Karambit Case Hardened. Be that as it may, you can sell or trade any of these three rare patterns for more than the standard price.

The most complex case is arguably that of the Karambit Ocean Blue Steel. Knives like that are long out of fashion, and as there’s no demand, there’s no price increase, either. The popularity of skins and guns plays a crucial role in determining their price. A nice example of that would be the price fluctuations after the defense rifle rebalance. With that patch, Valve literally made skin prices plummet. In any event, the Karambit Blue Steel isn’t the most hyped knife, and you’ll have to be patient with it. Keep that in mind in case you decide to buy one of these beauties.

The pattern can affect the cost of the skin. So, if you are trading a knife, a pair of gloves, or a skin whose appearance is contingent on the pattern, don’t forget to check whether you’re trading a skin with a rare pattern. Because if you are, it’s a great opportunity to bargain and get a bonus for rarity.
